Advanced Injection Techniques
Kybella®, Botox® & Dermal Fillers
The Advanced Injection Technique training course is designed as a one-day course for Physicians (MD & DO), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN) and Physician Assistants (PA). The course includes both a didactic and hands-on training session and attendees will receive a Certificate of Training upon completion of the course. A thorough knowledge of Botulinum Toxin and dermal filler products is necessary before attending this course. No prior experience with Kybella® is necessary. Approved for 8.25 AAFP Prescribed credits.
The Advanced Injection Technique training course has a maximum of 8 attendees. With this intimate course setting the instructor is able to spend the necessary time with each attendee to answer questions and share their experience with these advanced techniques. Attendees will learn the pearls gained from combining these procedures including years of seeing what works, having off-label expertise and ensuring client satisfaction.
The Advanced Injection Technique course expands the uses for Botox® Cosmetic, Jeuveau, Xeomin® and dermal fillers, while showing how these products can work together to produce successful results for your clients. The course will cover multiple injection techniques, as well as selection of needles and the use of microcannuals. The advanced procedures include treatment of radial lip lines, advanced brow lift, combination brow lift, eye treatment (tear troughs), neck rejuvenation, treatment of the chin and jaw area, nose augmentation, temporal area, mid-face volumization (cheek enhancement), earlobe augmentation and hand rejuvenation.
Kybella® (deoxycholic acid) injections are used to contour and improve the appearance of submental fullness. You will learn the ideal submental profile, the characteristics of submental fullness and how to customize this procedure to your clients’ aesthetic goals. Utilizing Allergan’s suggested E.A.S.I. process you will learn the proper dosing and administration techniques. This includes evaluating and identifying the appropriate Kybella® client, following the pre-treatment regimen, how to apply the treatment markings and grid, preparing syringes and selecting the correct Kybella® dosage amount, performing Kybella® injections and following post-treatment recommendations.
After the didactic portion, you will gain experience performing advanced procedures during the clinical hands-on training session. You will sit down with the model, go over history and consent forms, conduct a skin analysis while understanding what outcome the model would like. The instructor will assist in determining the appropriate type and amount of product and supervise the injections.
The products provided by ReplenishMD for the hands-on training session are Kybella®, Botox® Cosmetic, Xeomin®, Jeuveau, Juvederm® products, Restylane® products, Belotero®, Radiesse® and Versa.
The exact product used will be dependent on the needs and wants of the model. Some models may request a certain type of botulinum toxin or filler, where others may ask for recommendations. During this time you will discuss the strengths of each product to determine the best treatment option. This is a superb real-life experience and will prepare you for the situations that arise outside of the training course.
The models provided by ReplenishMD will receive advanced procedures, but we can’t guarantee a certain procedure (because we follow the needs and wants of the model). If there is a particular advanced procedure you would like to learn, please bring your own model to ensure you receive hands-on training with this procedure. In addition, it may be necessary for models to need more than one session with the provider. Bringing your own model will help you understand how the treatments work/look together after the training session has ended. Please bring your own model if you would like hands-on training with Kybella.
